Iron Grip keystone + unarmed physical

Probably been asked.

Is the Iron Grip passive meant to affect unarmed melee physical damage?
(+2% per 10 strength)

I've tried and it doesnt. Does it only affect physical melee damage when you are using a weapon?

Edit: Unless I'm reading it wrong and "as well as" means that it only affects projectiles, and not an additional buff to melee. Which could likely be

Iron Grip is no buff to melee.
It applies to the physical damage of projectile attacks only.
