LMB Alternative

I understand the reasoning behind removing LMB binding, but I don't think it's a good idea to just completely remove a nice QoL. I get that it wasn't clear for some people to have this simple yet so useful mechanic but can't we just have something like anoint or something that doesn't require a socket?
