Extreme lack of diversity in good skill gems actively hurting the league start

The league starts are the most enjoyable and most popular events PoE has to offer.
I believe the fact that everyone will be playing with the same 3 skill gems -that we've been seeing for a long time now- kind of kills the hype around the community.
It is also somewhat discouraging on a personal level to be unable to make a competent character out of all those skill gems and ascendancy classes because they are mechanically and numerically inferior to the top dog builds.

but you dont need to play this 3 meta skills. and dont need to play top meta builds.

like i am perfectly happy with a build that only 1.5-2% plays it. prices a cheap for it and items easy to get since ppl dont play it :D

Here are some very different skills people are going to pick that are probably not your 3 gems:

- Spectral Throw
- Sunder
- BAMA
- Explosive Trap
- Pyroclast Mines
- Flameblast Totems

There are way more skills that work just as good.
Do yourself a favor and avoid youtuber hell especially when you haven't tested these skills yourself.
