Map stash tab in standard bugged?

I'm unable to move ALL of my previous league maps, from.multiple leagues to my new standard map tab.
The reason is that my standard tab is forcing me to associate it with a previous league. This blocks any map from many other leagues being added.

Is this how this is supposed to work?
Am insupposed to buy tons of map stashes one for each prior league?

Each league has new map series (except Ultimatum )

I don't seem to have this "conversion" button on console.

Or it's buried in PoE ui somewhere.

It would make more sense to just allow maps to live together in the map stash tab. It does makes sense to extend functionality as a filter, to sort by league. If that's what youd want to do.

But why isn't this applied to skill gems, uniques, etc? Is there a logic and use case to make something as useful as the map tab, become locked to the current league?

Our on-character inventory is so small - and I grabbed 35 or so maps and was stuck w them when I learned this. And you cannot put them back obviously.

It's an inconsistent ux they hopefully do away with. Just let us consolidate our maps and if some person wants to sort by league then let them. But in one stash tab.

You can vendor old maps to get current ones. If you play Standard at all, make sure you save (don't upgrade to current) a few T16s or shaper guardian maps so you can run at least one rare corrupted "old" map to re complete your standard atlas and get all those atlas tree points back.
