Necro Changes again?

Why did we got another round of unwanted changes to the Necro Tree?

- The Mindless Aggression Ascendancy Passive Skill no longer causes Minions to have 10% increased Movement Speed, 10% increased Attack Speed, 10% increased Cast Speed, or causes them to deal 30% increased Damage. Instead, it now causes them to deal 10% more Damage, and have 20% more Maximum Life.
- The Bone Barrier Ascendancy Passive Skill no longer Grants Level 20 Bone Armour Skill, and no longer provides "2% increased Recovery Rate of Life and Energy Shield per Minion, up to 20%" or "Minions have 20% more Maximum Life". Instead, it now provides "Minions have 40% of Life added as Extra Energy Shield" and "1% of Damage Dealt by your Minions is Leeched to you as Life".

Feels uncalled for.

Because minions cant be good.
Because minions must die instantly to a stiff breeze even with all the life/resist passive nodes invested, unless you invest a billion currency of course.
This was the strangest thing I saw in the patch notes and thought the same thing.

Lots of ascendency changes requested. But the ones acted on were things nobody asked for.
Erm this a giant buff and borderline broken.

If you want to complain, this inst what you want to complain about. Just accept this insanity and enjoy it while it lasts.
Isn't that kind of a big buff?

I mean, the main problem of permanent minions is that they die like flies, and these are some solid minion survival nodes.
Lets be real. The only reason is that you cannot use autiomation gem for BOne Barrier so they just removed the skill instead allowing it to be put on LMB.

What you seem to miss is this:
Minions will now gain x% of their life as ES and ES leech gem does support minions. Meaning they are harder to 1shot, they can sustain ES while fighting and also gain dmg from afore mentioned gem.

They will also leech life to you. Grab any leech wheel on the tree for the instant leech mastery and 10% of every leech instance created by any minion will be instant, solving one of the biggest issues Necro builds had to deal with: sustain.
Thats especially true, if you wanted to go for CI or lowlife in order to stack more auras and gain more dmg that way. Up to this point sustaining ES was extremely hard for Necros but not anymore. Ghost Reaver will convert lifeleech into ES leech and you will be perfectly fine.

While you could this before too, you would have been locked into the Baron helmet, had to stack 1k strength and you were limited to Zombies.
Now you dont need any of this, leech will apply to all minions for the costs of 2 ascendancy points.


All of this combined means you will have to invest less into minion defences and also less into your characters defences, while being more tanky than ever before.
However many points, affixes and whatnot you are able to save this way will most likely be invested into dmg and/or QoL.
