Do Penance Mark phantasms leave corpses?

Theoretically, can we rely on Penance Mark phantasms to always be able to cast the new Detonate Dead of Scavenging?

They don't leave corpses for sure.

You can very easily test this now. You can summon a phantasm with Soulwrest or Summon Phantasam Support.
