Map tab doesn't switch tier and type to show just added map item

When I place a map item into my Map stash tab using Ctrl+Click, it no longer switches to the correct map tier and map type to show the map item just placed there. Instead, it shows the last map type in the highest tier.
Tried with Map tab affinity both on and off.

I have the same issue.
Is this a new feature, a wrong setting in my client, or just a bug?
