Lab trials reset on new character in same league

Just created a new character in crucible league to find that some of my trials came up as uncompleted even tough I have another character that's unlocked all of the trials on the same league. I've tried logging into the other character, completing one of the trials and nothing ahs reset them to their completed status.

Where are you seeing this? On your new character, if you are in one of the areas that contain a trial of ascendancy, your quest tracker should show "The Lord's Labyrinth, Enter the Labyrinth in the Sarn Encampment."
