South Africa Servers inconsistent latency

I've started experiencing this issue the past 2 or so weeks.

I log into the South Africa Gateway and it shows 6ms latency, when I am logged in and I go to any instance (town, hideout, map etc.) its a 50/50 if I have 6ms ping or not

If I don't have 6ms ping I have 190ms almost like it has put me on an EU instance even though it says I'm on the South African Realm.

How can I have different pings on the same realm? One of the servers might be buggy?

Please help, it gets to a point where at night time the ping on the SA realm goes up to 1000ms making it impossible to play unless I switch to EU realm where the ping stays constant at 190ms.

Anyone else experiencing this? Or is my internet that broken ?

sadly this is properly per game design of GGG.
The reason is that if a local PoE gateway are close to max capacity it will then start making new "play" instances on other PoE gateway's around the world.
To confirm this, monitor your instance IP's from client.txt file.
So I went through my client.txt and found the IP that is causing me high ms

94.156.93.195

Further up in the same client.txt I see it connecting to this IP just fine and normal ping except for today.

I ran a traceroute on this and got this

Now I'm not sure where all these exchanges are located but the one adding plenty ms has jnb in the name which indicates to me its in Johannesburg.
Looked up the IP 94.156.93.195 and found out its hosted in South Africa

Why am I getting EU level ping to a local server?

can you make a tracert to one of the "normal" SA IP's and compare ?

yeah it looks like you are being routed outside the contry for the other IP.
Try asking your ISP why that is.

'One of the servers is melting' or an ice cap isn't currently available due to climate change.

I wonder how well they do in Florida.
