Constant GPU Crashing
Good afternoon,
game is crashing insanly. With Vulkan it was bit better for a while, but now again I can play around 1 minute. a) Memtest ok b) GPU test ok c) CPU test ok d) Drivers actualized. e) tested W11 and W10, now on W10. f) Verify integridy about 20 times. g) Played With Direct 11, tried VK also tried D12. On Vk I get VK:: *** Fences, on D11 this h)Also tested playing PoE not from steam but with PoE Client, doesn't helped. i) all the small things. " try this --> 1. Run packcheck.exe as "an administrator" / In steam select "Verify game files". 2. Delete the local PoE cache files here --> C:\Users\"your windows account name"\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile\ 3. Now start PoE again as "an administrator". When at the login screen, select options. 4. Now set texture to MEDIUM and Sound channels to low. 5. See if the issue is resolved ?
Already done many times.

Looks like I fixed it ....
Spoiler
Just play Blizzard games
| |
" That's good because GGG doesn't offer TECH support "for the moment" (been like this for several years now).
So, I just played WoW for a week, logged into PoE and game crashed under 1 minute. Yeah it was fun ... wink wink

You don't need to 'down voltage' a GPU; you need to stop it from allowing the boost clock from going to the ridiculous clocks in order for it to beat its competitor and make you think you've got the latest and greatest.
Use MSI Afterburner and set the 'core clock' to -300 (as a maximum; I do). Obviously, make absolutely sure you hit the 'negative' key and not the 'plus' key before you set Afterburner to that (modern GPUs are smart enough to shut down automatically should you do that). Do not mess with the 'core voltage' or the 'power limit'. |
