Drawing passiv skilltree routes
Hello,
first of all, excuse my bad english, but i'm a second-language speaker. I really like the "passiv skill tree" -feature on this webside. It should be ingame. Example: Clicking shift and the left mouse button on a passiv skill colours that skill red. With this it would be possible to draw a route in the skilltree and plan builds a lot easier. Your opinion? I actually kinda like this idea, it will make planned character development much more easier to manage.

Agreed, the thing is just too huge to have no plans about it. And drawing a route won't take much time to implement.

I've been thinking about this too. Sometimes I have a nice plan in my head and go for it, then I might not play for a few days, and when I come back I don't remember my brilliant plan anymore.
I'd suggest however that if you could plan ahead, either 1. make the "planned path" an overlay that really has no function more than a visual reminder, or 2. make it so that it can apply skill points for you but only if you first confirm it for every or all available points. Meaning, I could plan ahead a path in the passive skill tree and then when I level up I can go in there and give it just a second thought if needed before going "Ok, keep on my path" or simply put my point somewhere else, instead of me leveling up and going "oh crap I forgot I had an auto-skill-apply path and I just got this item and wanted to change my plan", etc. Considering this is a huge map... pinning down a few text notes here and there wouldn't be to shabby either ;) But I digress. |

In game skill route panning should be a feature. Its easy to lose your place after coming back to a character especially if you play a bunch of alts. Having a skill tree route saved or just being able to highlight nodes would be a nice quality of life feature.

While it maybe strange idea, you can use first Passive Skill Tree tool on website, then copy a link from it and retrieve it if you need it.
It doesn't make your choice one-way, but it's simpler to choose. In-Game tool for this would be nice. I find distibuting passives to easy (there should be some confirm button, if you make mistake) Last edited by Macronne#5459 on Jun 6, 2012, 1:34:37 PM
