Clicking/Mouse problem???

I finally got the game to work on my mac using wine, but my mouse click doesn't highlight the monsters or items on the ground unless i move the cursor a little to the left of what i want to target. i also cant click on anything in the inventory to change weapons and stuff. how can i fix it so i can click directly on the object and my guy will attack or pick up whatevers on the ground?
