Armour mastery bug?

I want to defend with 120% armour.
According to PoB it works.
But neither there nore ingame does my armour amount change.

Is that supposed to be?

And is my ES (that goes to zero because of RF) considered low or non existant?

It wouldn't show ingame but it does work.
But it does not work if you've 0 ES. Obviously

But i have effectivly 0 ES.

As far as I understand it, yes, your 0/243 energy shield would count as Low Energy Shield.

As for the mastery--it doesn't say that you have 20% more armour while on low energy shield, it says that you defend with 120% armour. You'll have 20% more armour for defense calculations that doesn't stack with other "defend with XXX% armour" effects, but you won't have more armour for other calculations like Replica Dreamfeather.

You have to have some for it to count as low es

Ah, right, I misread it while looking at the screenshot, my bad. You are correct: it would not work, because you would be on Low Energy Shield.

Having 0 maximum energy shield does not count as low energy shield.

His screenshot showed that he had 243 maximum energy shield, so being at 0/243 energy shield counts as low energy shield.

To compare:

With Dance of the Offered equipped (You have Onslaught while not on Low Mana), when my mana fully drains to 0, I do not suddenly gain Onslaught, because 0 mana counts as being on low mana while not max mana is not also 0. (Testing this, I'm equipped with a legacy version with "lose 40 mana per second" instead of granting "The Agnostic" keystone).

If I then equip Malachai's Simula, which grants the Blood Magic keystone, my maximum mana is 0. Since 0/0 is not considered as being on low mana, I gain Onslaught.

but still, PoB shows it works.
so im confused as always

its very user unfriendly when a game does not show you any noticeable effect after an upgrade. i bet thats what drives many players away.
especially because most do not use PoB.

PoB is wrong in this case because it is not smart enough to realize your RF keeps your ES burnt to 0 (putting you at low ES all the time).
