Question about sounds

I'm not trolling. I'm just curious. Are certain sounds in the game (like perhaps the ring sound and some other item-related sounds) in the public domain? Some of them seem almost identical to Diablo 2 sounds. I'd just like some clarification. Silver Supporter here, not trying to troll. Just curious. Thanks!

No idea. But really, how hard do you think it is to record a "ding" sound?

I often hear stock sound effects in various different places, there are some that show up everywhere - various games, movies, etc.

My assumption is that all those sound effects from the Diablo series were probably mostly stock audio anyway.
