Blight-Ravaged maps
anyone got any advice for these? I'm sat at a now ripped character (fortunately I changed to an expendable one when performance got bad) and I can't see how this content can be approached, as soon as proxy shield type shit arrives the performance becomes so unbelievably bad that you can't attack or build towers.
This content seems so poorly thought through I can't believe they added it lol its like magnifying all the worst parts of blight then called it endgame content, my character is still flipflopping between dead and T-pose while I wait for the bosses to clear up enough that I might be able to zone in. Still, any solution to this is there a tower setup that kills everything fast enough to not lag the shit out of everything and ignores proxy/temp shield? Last bumped on Sep 18, 2022, 2:32:43 AM

2 must-have ring anointments:
- chilling towers freeze things: stops bosses indefinitely, regardless of their health pool. Unless you roll "speed cannot be reduced to below base". If you get bosses rolling from ice portals, so they cannot be frozen, use petrification towers. - meteor towers drop burning ground: this ground bypasses proxy shields, and does more total damage than meteor impact itself, even to mobs coming from fire portals. After that, it just boils down to dps. Load the map with 3 amber oils + 3 tower damage oils + 3 loot oils and build 3 times more towers than on basic blighted map. But imo, ravaged maps not worth the stress. Loot is nothing spectacular, even if you clear T16 ravaged. Last edited by Echothesis#7320 on Sep 17, 2022, 8:24:05 AM

I was doing it for the challenge as i'd already heard they were pretty bad but didn't really think they would be quite that bad lol
Thanks for the tips both of those sound useful, the layout I had had zero phys portals so I could keep everything stunned forever but the proxyshield was creating a nightmare lag zone as no damage towers were available inside. Sounds like a meteor burning ground would have fixed that problem which is what I needed. Thanks again! |

I prefer petrification towers over basic seismic towers exactly because of how latter lag. Yes, seismic have large aoe, but you only need to stop a few bosses, rest mobs can be killed reasonably quickly.

You may use annointment which adds burning ground which ignores fire damage immunity.
Chilling towers can freeze is also good. You may also try ice prison towers. Having phasing is recommended in this case. I prefer stunning towers. They are cheaper than temporal or petrifying ones and can stunlock bosses even on ravaged maps. As for damaging towers it's better to use something long ranged. Meteor or scout towers are best options here. |
