Multiple summoning skill gems

I noticed that summoning skeletons from different equipped skill gems doesn't count towards my summon limit. For example, even though my limit for summoning skeletons for one gem might be, say, 6, I can summon all six skeletons, then, using another skill gem, summon some more -- up to that gem's limit, thereby creating 10 or more skeletons. I'm assuming it also works for zombies, and maybe specters, though I have yet to try this. I also have yet to see if this causes play balance issues at higher difficulty levels, but suspect it could be an issue. I will say it's cool to be able to summon a virtual army of the things.
On the other hand, I've noticed that you can only have one totem, period. Even if it's a different kind of totem, say a shockwave and a rejuvenation totem. I'd personally like to have the option to summon multiple totems at once. I think it'd open up another possibility for characters, someone who specializes in creating different totems at once to help and hinder friends and foes, respectively.

If both those gems become the same Level...you cannot summon more than 1 gems total amount of Zombies.

Does this work the same way for the traps? Like if you have lets say one fire trap gem on 3rd lvl and other on lvl 6 you can summon max ammount of traps form the 1st gem and max ammount from 2nd gem wich is higher number of traps than if you have both gems on lvl 6

And about that summoning gems, so you can farm the summon zombie gem with few characters put them in you stash and keep taking them with your main necromantic character so you will allways have those gems on different lvl and summon like 10 zobmies from 4 gems (or 28 zombies form 7 gems assuming that ypu will have those gems on as high lvls as is needed to summon 7+6+5+4+3+2+1 zombies) if you will keep them on different lvls. I find that not really cheaty, but deffinately not fair play.

That's interesting. As far as traps, I don't know; I haven't found enough of them yet.
well, as a lvl 50ish witch, i can legit summon around 32 minions... i don't know if 20 more will make any kind of difference at all. it's a bug and should definitely be fixed, but at high level it doesn't matter.

OTOH, if you skimped on minion master abilities and used multiple gems to summon 20 or so skeletons, that would hurt balance for sure, though they'd be awfully weak at end game.
