GGG´s missing response to the 3.18 crap show

apart from arguably the worst league performance in a long time there is something that actually does enrage me even more than the crap show itself.
GGG has not even made a move to explain the situation and more importantly their view on the state of the game. it is surreal to me how a company just lets the league continue, even though the (steam) numbers are as bad as barely ever before after a week of a league.
i´ll be assume a lot of player actually wish for a statement on GGG´s side to explain the further plans to the game and the reasoning behind the implementation of this mess.
furthermore it would be, from my perspective, important if Chris Wilson wouldn´t just read down a text prepared for him but actually give some insights of how they want the game to evolve.
as for everybody obvious majority or the community is pretty pissed about this league.

uh...they did respond and DID give all that information.

Their followup, however, is overdue

i haven´t heard from any respond on GGG´s side regarding the current state of the game in the past days. all i hear is a deafining silence.
i believe what u called follow up is synonym to what i ment in my statement. i guess i didn´t make that clear.

why should they bother?

you play the game anyway so.. really.. why should they care?

as long as people make angry noises yet still play and pay - dont expect anything. the ONE TIME playerbase actually stood up and left - GGG did a whole round of apologetic podcasts and promises

They only care about peak players at league start. They make all their money then according to Chris.

They don't care that retention is ~50-60% at week 1 where it was ~70% prior to Expedition. I'm sure they'd care if it was like 20%, but it's not. Since retention is fine after the initial balance patches everybody gets pulled from league to work on PoE 2 and we go into maintenance mode.

One more patch coming this league - HH fix and final adjustment to Archnemesis mods. Then back to radio silence til next league. That's how it works.

Exactly, the most powerful tool we have as players is the almighty dollar. Don't buy anything, set the game down for a few days and see how fast they do a 180.

I learned a long time ago that gamers are the real boss, because we can do the one thing that scares a dev to death, leave.

And because of that, there is a "skeleton crew" that "maintains" PoE 1 while waiting ?

If that's really the case, then they are killing their game and i'm curious to see how many players will be at PoE 2's launch...
