Ninja nerfing via droprates is worse than straight nerfs to the builds

While everyone is complaining about Archnemesis I find the ninja nerfs to Omni and Ashes worse. Yes they said in the patch notes that they would adjust droprates. But they also made a huge deal of not balancing items and builds and everyone being able to play his favourite build again and plan for league start right away.

However, right now the prices are over the top and we are talking about chore items for many builds here. Don't get me wrong, I think both items are broken and I was extremely surprised they survived. It would have been perfectly fine to nerf them, even to a huge extent. But the way this was done just feels really dubious to me. Sure, it is very early in the league, but as of now prices are still climbing. This is super demotivating because I (as well as many others, I am sure) am now wondering wether I should quit right away, keep playing and hope for prices to go way down or just take a break and see how things shake out.

For me personally, Archnemesis is just the tip of the iceberg and the thing that might just make skip or take a break. That is just balancing issues and unfair content. The other thing combined with the straightforward communication on build balance just feels dishonest and makes me as a customer feel cheated on.

Well since you are contradicting yourself, here is what I would suggest.

Pretend that Omni and Ashes were actually nerfed into the ground, and undesirable. That way you dont have any FOMO related to being priced out in the market.

You will also have an emotional headstart advantage on dealing with the nerfs coming in 3.19

It's Spring... at least on the top half of the planet. Go outside. Feed a squirrel. Realize that this is only a game and that in 10-20 years you wont even remember it.
Also remember it takes time for people to gear up and farm these bosses. With how much hype Ashes and Omni had going into this league, it was going to be insane cost to get one early. But as the weeks go on and the average player gears up and gets to the point they can farm these bosses, the price will come down. There's always a cost to being an early adapter to meta builds in PoE.

still sane, exile?
Play SSF, and never worry about those items again.
i dont get ur point .

if you want the item then just farm it yourself , you can basicly try to get it after every 25 maps

a good item should be rare and not drop every second time -.-

you can also farm it and sell it for big money

quitting a game because your favorite item is rare is just stupid , but whatever

also the ashes of stars amu boss is super weak and easy farmable
