Game won't start at all

I recently re-installed the game on steam, the game will not open at all. It doesn't give me an error message or notify me that anything is wrong, I just press launch, steam says it's running for maybe a second and then it closes. I've checked the task manager, all that opens is "Windows Problem Reporting" which closes the moment steam says the game is closed. I've tried verifying the integrity of game files, I've reinstalled the game 3 times, and I've basically tried any fix I could find, but the problem persists.
