Will closed beta characters be wiped before open beta?

I am only asking because I ADORE this game. I just snagged the bronze support pack and a bunch of friends and I are going to play.
We just wanted to know if we should avoid getting too attached to our characters at this point.

Yeah, there will be a final wipe once open beta begins. Your characters will lose all of their experience and gear. You will retain your character name and any of the cash shop stuff.

Once open beta begins, there will be no more wipes. So, in a sense, the open beta can be treated as a 'soft release'.
