Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - Failed to connect to instance when logging in. - Forum

Yesterday, we cut the line of our dormitory's connection because of the ongoing renovation. That was the connection we always use because it is solely for the workers. So i'm using the connection on our office right now and I can't even get to the game because upon logging in I always get failed to connect to instance. I tried our public connection and i was able to connect but I don't really use that connection because it's so unstable and the latency goes up and down that I don't even want to do any instances. The office connection works fine with everything but POE.

Sadly this is a local issue that you have to fix.
Reason for this not working could be -->
- Not getting a proper IPv4 public IP.
- Local firewall preventing this trafic (sounds like it / most likely since it's a office connection).
- new ISP have a routing issue / peering problem to GGG's hosting partner.
