Absolution not spawning minions in Legion

The mechanic is totally unplayable a week out from launch, killing frozen Legion mobs will not spawn Legion minions. Really sad, because I love doing Legion and it's depressing to do it without my main damage : (

Also doesn't appear like the Absolution minions are gaining increased minion AoE from the tree. Can't be 100% sure, but it doesn't look like their attacks are any larger with those nodes vs. not.
