Refunding passives from cluster jewel does not consume passive refund points.

I noticed when attempting to refund passive tree points allocated into a cluster jewel, that it does not consume passive refund points. Basically allowing me to infinitely refund cluster jewel points and swap cluster jewels.

I tried it twice just to confirm because of confusion, and both times it did not consume refund points.

After googling I realized this may not be a bug? I am possible just unfamiliar with the mechanic. Are passives not consumed when refunding points allocated into cluster jewels?

I believe the game allows you to refund at a steep discount - free if it's Small Cluster Jewel, 1 passive respec points if it's a Medium Cluster Jewel pathing to a Small socket, and 2 passive respec points if it's a Large Cluster Jewel pathing to a Medium socket.

I'm being lazy this time and not googling, though, just going off of what I experienced last league.

You only need to refund the jewel sockets. It was different initially but having to spend 15 points to remove a large cluster was not really in the best interests of the game.

Mind you, if you want to first regret all of your allocated nodes in a Cluster tree, then regret the cluster socket itself, you are free to do it and you will spend the expected quantity of refund points.

Since this would however burn a hole in your Regret stack faster than regretting a whole Ascendancies, GGG allows you to just regret a Jewel Cluster Node, provided all other sockets in that cluster are free. This way you can freely change your Cluster jewel tree with a new Large, upgraded version with just 2 points instead of 8-to-30 points
