How do you get Steel Rings? I'm playing SSF.

I'm stuck with my gear progression because I can't get a single Steel Ring to drop :/

I'm running Lira Arthain maps (t11+, though poedb suggests you can from t6), running park map (apparently the boss there drops it). I must have run over 200 maps in this region alone. Any ideas? Maybe I'm missing something? I already have lots of the other atlas bases..

Another thing that might boost your chances is crafting watchstones for the "boss has X% chance to drop an atlas base type" mod.

AFAIK if they don't come as a reward or from a mechanic they have to be ilvl 78 to drop naturally which means T11 for white mobs, however I think your doing the right thing already just farm arthain maps.

It isn't a specific boss drop though, Park isn't listed on the wiki and I can't remember if its in Arthain this league or not so i'd recommend the following

Run Arthain T11+ only, Stack quant if you can and map efficiently so don't tool about too much with league mechanics just blitz the content and slam the next map in and repeat. Farming these bases is something I never try to do specifically though because it can take a substantial length of time.

Optionally, you can also do +78 heists with the jewellery reward type.
They do drop at times, pretty rare though.

How juicy are your Maps? You have the following potential juice sources:

-Cartographer's Chisel (recommended to chisel white Maps as this only costs 4 chisels per Map to reach 20% quality)

-Orb of Alchemy (optionally: alch & scour, or chaos orb, until you get good quant and packsize. I like to reroll anything that has less than 75% quant)

-Vaal Orb (if your build can do any kind of Map. May result in some deaths, but it could be worth it.)

-Sextants (admittedly may be scarce in SSF. Not sure if there is a vendor recipe; as far as I know, best way to "farm" would be to run Unique Maps for the "Monochrome" divination cards). Most Sextant mods add monsters, so you don't need to roll any specific mods, just have at least one Sextant active on each Watchstone at any given time).

-Scarabs (when you do your Zana missions, do you check for Delirium Mirror? Simulacrums have tended to drop a ton of Scarabs for me). Shaper, Elder, Abyss, Breach, Blight, Perandus - nearly every Scarab adds monsters to your map - more monsters means more chances to drop items.

-Awakener Level. Every 4 watchstones socketed anywhere in your Atlas gives +0.5% chance for Map Bosses to drop an Atlas Base Type.

-(long shot) Awakening Objectives. Awakening Objective bonuses affect the "effect of Modifiers on non-Unique Maps," and this includes the item quantity and monster pack size bonuses on Maps.
