Bosses with light auras cause texture lightning artifacts

I was fighting Kinduku (or whatever that's spelled) Fake Lightning God near the end of Act 1 today. It's that Totem Boss.

Whenever it was shooting its lightnings, the texture of the surface underneath it was showing really badly. The texture is rectangular and the lightning effect is not properly applied, so that the neighboring textures do not benefit from the same amount of lightning. The result is that you can see the shape of the rectangular texture under Kinduku.

It with another boss as well. Some skelton down in the prison.

Same here.

Graphics / memory problem mitigated by periodically restarting the client (better ASAP as you see it because eventually it crashes the game).

Above: screenshot (1680x1050) of an artifact caused by aura ("doubled character" - all info including auras on the screen).

These reports are all caused by two different problems - Kyliathy's Kuduku problem is related to the way Totems are made, with a square shaped effect that is already fixed locally. When an effect is on them, it'll highlight the whole square shape. The second problem in the Prison was likely caused by too many lights in one spot, which can create black squares.

gamegeek's problem is caused by distortion not working in areas with fog. It's going to be fixed in future!
