Advice On SSF: General And Builds
Hello all, so I have been really getting into PoE this league and I told myself when I start learning stuff and getting more experienced, I wanted to get into SSF and I feel like I want to do that now. With that being said, any advice on making SSF feel good to play and help the transition from trade league to SSF? Videos or text advice, I will take anything including some good builds to help me out that are good for SSF as well.
Thanks. Last bumped on May 25, 2021, 3:47:45 PM

You can check Ninja for builds. This is SSF 1 week in to show league start:
https://poe.ninja/challengessf/builds?time-machine=week-1 A good leveling build not listed there is Holy Flame Totem/Flame Wall/Wave of Conviction. Played as Hiero, it will get you to mid-yellow maps with minimal effort. This thread is a good place for quick SSF questions and answers: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1843683 You can always just play tradeless in trade to give yourself an out if you need it. Picking a non-attack build will make life a little easier since you won't have to upgrade your weapon as often. I assume you're using a decent loot filter. You can start with semi-strict and adjust as you go. Some of it is having a feel for what the build needs at any point in time. Often, a piece of gear will have better mods but lousy sockets/links and you'll have to make a decision. Deciding when to slam for sockets, links and colors early is part of SSF. I never slam fuses until I have plenty, because my luck is proportional to my supply. I take more chances with jewelers and chromis. (There are also the Vorici recipes from delve.) Many builds can get you into yellow maps with only basic crafting, i.e. bench (including veiled), beast crafting for flasks, essences, and the occasional alch. There are plenty of more advanced crafting options but they take more time investment to learn. That should help get you started. Last edited by GreyLensman#5323 on May 25, 2021, 4:10:10 PM
