The Avengers

Hello everyone so lets talk about The Avengers movie, did any1 see it? i went and saw it about 2 days ago and let me tell u most awsome movie i have seen in a while, set aside the amazing special effects, they did a good job making it funny, has about 4-5 scenes where its impossible not to laugh.
For those who havent watched it yet i will just say this, its worth a few bucks, its a good movie.

Spoiler
Tip. stay 2-3 min after the credits start to roll there is a ending scene, meaning there could be a 2nd movie.
It's even more hilarious if you stick around after all the credits

Spoiler
It's just the avengers eating for 30 seconds. No one talks, no one really makes a noise. It's just 30 seconds of them eating. I was expecting at least a "I like it!" from Thor.
Yeah, it is a great movie. And I consider myself a fairly strict movie critic.

Saw it on the 25th of April -- both a public holiday and its release date here. I very, VERY rarely do release date viewings.

And I've never really liked 'The Avengers' anyway.

But it was Whedon with $220 million and 2.5 hours.

How could I not?

I bought the 'artwork' book a few days ago and have made it my lifequest to get it signed by all the Avengers' actors.

And hopefully Phil.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I loved the movie, it is what Michael Bay wishes he had the ability to direct.

Which is amazing since it was done by someone who's only ever really made low budget TV shows and one fairly low budget sci-fi spinoff of a tv show.

I think this says a lot about the quality of TV shows in the past 10-15 years, and almost as much about the degradation of movie quality in the same time.

Agreed!

Great movie, good scenes overall, comedic value in this movie(for the action flick it is) was great.

Have you read Astonishing X-Men? It's really not that good to me. Too much round-table talking and Whedon snappiness getting in the way. After that, I really wasn't sure if he could do The Avengers and actually waited for critical responses.

So to go from writing comics to directing one of the most expensive movies around...that's a huge step.
