Does physical damage node increases the damage of lightning strike?

I am a newbie so pardon the question. I have looked through the commonly-asked questions and it isn't there. I am curious as to taking a increased 4% damage node for claw will affect the lightning strike damage. I am currently duel wielding claws. Other than increased lightning damage, what else increases the dps for Lightning strike?

It will affect the base physical damage lightning strike does, as well as increase the lightning damage, since Lightning strike is a partial conversion of physical to lightning, along with a bunch of projectiles for some AoE coverage.

I'm guessing you want to know about the projectiles, not the melee hit itself. In this case, if a node specifies "melee", it will not work for projectiles (but the DPS is going to show higher on the tooltip - this is because the tooltip only shows information for the melee hit itself!). So as an example, "Eagle Talons" node gives "18% increased Physical Damage with Claws", and it WILL work with LS projectiles.
