Gear help lvl 41

So basically I just started this game 2 days ago or so and I'm stuck at Cruel act1 by the Ship Graveyards. I know I need better gear but I'm not sure what to upgrade first for most difference, also I don't have that much currency. Running a Ground Slam build with Blood Magic.
