Guard Alert, Heist Feedback
Heists feel pretty great I like the idea of it and fully understand the desire to make us pick and choose a bit of what we collect. However due to the guard threat level raising so quickly and no real way to stealth past most of them. It seems to be pointless to invest too heavy into grand heist extra rooms. Reality is you get maybe 1 or 2 chests and then your alarm is being risked to go off. This simply feels like a noob trap at this point its best to not unlock the extra rooms unless this gets fixed.

Delirium is punishing for slow builds, but Heist is far worse. After I beeline straight to the objective without even busting open doors to the big treasure boxes or opening the crates, I've only got enough alert to maybe open one thing before securing the objective.
I understand I'm only supposed to pick a few things of worth without raising the alarm, but I'm left with picking maybe one thing as well as the target. Chances are that "one thing" is only a crate which, more often than not, has nothing worth grabbing anyway. You want one of the big boxes? Good luck getting to them and the target in time, because they're on the opposite end of the zone! If the only thing of worth I can pull out of Heists are Rogue's Marks and whatever pittance I can loot off the dead guards, this league isn't worth doing over mapping. ![]() PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. I agree. It's harder if the way is longer. 3/4 alarm level or more just to get to the main room (only kill guards at doors, who see me ASAP). Then i go back to get 1-3 small chests, or one larger one and it's over. Also steath kill(guards that didn't see me)rises alarm level, feels weired.
For me it's like the alarm level ist always the same and not scaling with the length oft the path including the amount of guard along the way. There are two options, as I see: 1.Always go for the main room first, then loot a bit. 2.Go for items and let the heits fail. |

" Option number 2 leaves you in huge deficit of rogue marks, so not really viable. |

The fact that we can run around being spotted while not rising the alarm by not killing the guards does not seem like the mechanic is working as intended.

I would make them increase the alarm rating when you aggro them and then drop the alarm by 90% of what they added when you kill them. No witnesses. This will also lead to a situation towards the end of the Heist where you need to be careful not to alert a whole patrol of guards or they tip over the alarm. This would a) make more sense and b) add more considerations to how you run your Heist.

" Good idea and fully agree with that. I play a minion build, and the current state of the system will make me skip the league mechanic if nothing gets changed in the near future. In my last grand heist try, i barely got in to the last room with the alarm already been activated without opening anything till there... It can't be that you get punished like that for playing a build that you want to play. Last edited by sowozup#5533 on Sep 21, 2020, 4:59:48 AM
