Storm secret herald of thunder bug

Just made a new character using the unique storm secret ring along with herald of thunder and for some reason it doesn't proc on boss fights... it works normally on everything else but for some reason it refuses to proc on bosses =/
This is a scion juggernaut / elementalist character if that makes a difference? my last character running storm secret was a scion chieftain / elementalist and it worked fine there so?

My guess would be you're not currently doing enough lightning damage to them to successfully/reliably apply shock.

Did you use the same amulet on your last character?

What kind of proc do you mean ?
Because you need to shock to have the storm and bosses are more resistant to aliments.

Raising awareness here - this bug seems to apply only to the Divergent Herald of Thunder (though I've not tried other Alternative Quality Heralds).

I can shock and storm any boss with a standard Herald of Thunder slotted - but when I move to my (21/23Q) Divergent Herald, no Herald proc at all.

For testing sake, I'm using 21/23 Herald of Thunder in the Crest of Desire (+8 Socketed), with +4 Global - totaling a 33/67Q Herald of Thunder it does MORE than enough damage to shock bosses.

Help! Alternative Quality gem being nerfed by interactions between game mechanics!

Um what do you mean by it? Herald of Thunder can not shock at all no matter how much damage it does.
