Item disappeared in trade

I traded my friend a scour, 2 exalts, and an influenced vaal regalia to slam. The scour and exalts went through but the regalia disappeared. He was wearing a tabula so it didn't get equipped (he wouldn't have had enough int to equip it anyway). It wasn't still in my inventory either.
