Unable to experiment Vulkan for better graphical performance
I've had really bad performance issues since Delirium and this league i decided i'd try Vulkan. I looked up some information about it in NVidia's website, ended up downloading something from their website (Vulkan 1.2 beta, i believe). But whenever i switch from DirectX11 to Vulkan (from the menu or in-game), the client freezes and after a while goes black, closing itself right after that.
I updated my graphics card and everything possible but the problem still persists. What kind of information can i give so you guys can understand what is happening on my side a little bit better? I'd really like to try Vulkan so I can play everything within the game with no issues. I'm currently sitting on the following (laptop): GeForce GTX 1050 - Version 451.28 Intel Core i5-9300H - UHD Graphics 630 - Version 27.20.100.8336 Something that has nothing to do with Vulkan issues (or so i believe): curiously, the last 2 days before posting this I had amazing graphical performance, no brakes, no nothing (something i haven't experienced for a long while) but still unable from taking advantage of Vulkan. As far as I know, you don't need to download Vulkan separately from the Nvidia site. Vulkan is bundled in with your graphics drivers. Have you ensured that your integrated graphics are turned off?

Vulkan does NOT improve graphical performance. In basic terms its allowing some of the work done by GPU within DX11 environment, to be undertaken by CPU in vulkan API environment. You are running 1050 and i5...
No rest for the wicked.

" After some time i realised that Vulkan was not necessary to download separately, yes i realised that. I thought PoE was always running on my 1050 and never bothered to check. Funny thing, for some random reason, this past 2 days (the same days I've experienced better performance) I've been right-clicking on PoE.exe and demanded it to run on the 1050, it never clicked my mind it might have always run on the integrated graphics, thus being the reason for the bad performance... i just switched it off forever to PoE specifically, i don't know how to do it in global terms. So... Vulkan is not really worth using now that i switched PoE to my 1050? |

" In theory, no. You should make sure your graphics driver was cleanly installed and switch between the two to see if one is better than the other, imo. I personally get far superior performance on Vulkan. |

" Well, what you told me actually ended up helping me, still trying to figure out if it is worth to use Vulkan or not. But Thank you very much for your help. I believe my issue is solved. |
