Extremely low in game sound

I am experiencing a problem with all in game sound, which has been extremely quiet. I have tried increasing all the volume options to their maximum and I have tried to check and uncheck all the sound option, but the problem still persist.

The problem appear when I listen to other video in the background while playing the game. This usually lower the sound of the game, making the background sound more prominent. But when the problem start, sound of the game got stuck at lower volume, and it didn't return to its original level. This happen a few times and now in game sound is extremely low.

I'm experiencing abnormal sound levels as well.

What loot filter are you using?
Is it up to date?

The loot filer sound is not the only sound that is abnormally low, all in game sound in general is. But to answer the question, yes my loot filter is up-to-date.

It seems like this problem is exceptionally rare, that it there is yet any suggestion about how to solve this problem posted here.

I couldn't bring myself to play the game since the problem occurred. This is because the extremely low in game sound that I am experiencing means I can barely hear a single sound from the game. With every volume at max, whether its in game or from the computer and with headphone on, the only thing that I can hear is faint background music. Personally, I like how the sound of Path of Exile is designed and it is an important part of the game for me, and I cannot enjoy it fully without sound on.

I have tried reinstalling the game, both by using uninstalling option and deleting all the file, this doesn't fix the problem. I also noticed that all option settings were kept after reinstalling the game, hence the game has not been install on a blank slate. Is there anyway to completely reinstall Path of Exile like it has been install the first time for this computer? I suspect that this might actually solved the problem.
