I have been hearing about these beta key contests, but never have i ever got the balls or something else to enter them... i seriously wonder where do they get the nessecary beta keys

Mostly if they are already in the beta, and recieve one or two beta keys for friends and family.

They are either friend invites as Wrannec said, or the contest host bought a pre-purchase pack that included more than one beta key.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
