Don't hold your breath for repairs any time soon. Now hows those Aus servers coming along???

The automatic permit for cable repairs ended in December 2012 – after that time the agreement is for repairs to only be done by Indonesian flagged ships with Indonesian crews when repairs are done in Indonesian waters.

According to industry databases, there are no Indonesian cable ships.

The situation has reportedly prompted the South East Asia and Indian Ocean Cable Maintenance Agreement (SEAIOCMA), which provides cable repair and maintenance services to more than 20 cable operator members in the region, to initiate a re-flagging of one of its vessels under Indonesia.

However, industry sources say the process has yet to be completed and won’t be until later this year.

The last part you have highlighted in bold refers to a specific maritime law being worked on in Indonesia. This has nothing to do with the repair time of the cable. This quote has been taken very seriously out of context from the original source and is very misleading.

A much better estimation of the repair date is the 30/3/2013.
Interesting... that explains why late night time I'm having trouble with lag.

Cable is fixed, my ping is back to 90ms.
