How does Temple Nexus work?

I mean it supposedly should upgrade all connected rooms by 1 tier. But it does nothing. At least nothing is shown on temple map. All connected rooms are the same as they were before I took that T3 upgrade. Will they become +1 tier after I complete all incursions? Or after I actually enter the temple? Or I should trigger something in that nexus while I'm in the temple?

they will be 1 tier higher in the actual temple (and show as such), but not when you see your incursion options.
just make sure it's a real room (not something like chasm that cant be upgraded) and the door connecting them is unlocked. |
