Leveling Gem help

Hi. So I need help please. I am following a build guide and on my path of leveling my gems I sometimes level some of the basic gems (once that don't have a leveling cap according to the build) past the base stats required, like int/str/dex. Is there anyway to see stats required before leveling a gemi don't know if this is because I am wearing a Tabula Rasa

I think when your gem is ready to level up and you hover with mouse over [+] icon to level up gem, you will see on bottom which lvl and stats will gem need on next level. Can't test it right now, but think i am correct here.

If you somehow overlevelled your gem, so you can´t use it anymore.. if you sell 1 Orb of scouring and the said gem to a vendor, you´ll get the gem back minus one level.

I do know that thank you. My problem is I don't want to keep de leveling gems everytime I can't use them because of the stats required at the new level

You are correct, it will specify the requirements for the next level (at the bottom of the popup) and if you don't have enough INT, STR,Dex,etc... it will be highlighted in RED
