"Rain" skill effects animation

Is it just me or the animations for the "rain" skills (Firestorm, Bladefall, Icestorm, etc) seem dated. I'm hoping they can improve the animations in PoE2 where they fall down diagonally. I think it gives more impact visually if it comes down at an angle. There's already a meteor skill from the enchantment "Word of Inferno" that does this. Maybe give it as an MTX option for those skills?
