Isn't the 32 bit version playable anymore (with 3.8)?
Since the release of 3.8 at Friday I can't play anymore with the 32 bit version "PathOfExile.exe" (on Win7 (SP1) 32 bit), due to crashes to desktop (s.a. my bug report Memory allocation issue causes crashes (to desktop))?
I played the last years (and the last months) without any problems (no disconnects, no crashes) for hours (almost) each day. It would be nice to hear from a staff member if the 32 bit version is still supported (I've read many reports where players suggest to take the 64 bit version - but of course this is only possible on 64 bit Systems!)? The system requirements for Steam: Path of Exile still have Windows 7 (SP1) with 4 GB and x86-compatible mentioned (and my system meets all the other requirements too). Or can another player give me feedback, that the 32 bit version is playable on a 32 bit system? Last bumped on Sep 11, 2019, 4:22:29 AM

" I doubt GGG will help you out here. Nor will Microsoft help you out. Nor any paid-for support will help nor solve your problem. Mainstream Support for W7 ran out 2015 (?no compatibility updates? since 2015). And by the end of this year, will also no longer receive security updates (Google "windows 7 support end"). Please upgrade to Win10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFHBBN0CqXk Last edited by RPGNoobANKA#0714 on Sep 10, 2019, 12:37:08 PM

But even on Windows 10 the 32 bit version is crashing: Create Buffer Bug (look at the screenshot).
And why is in the system requirements still "Windows 7 (SP1)" mentioned (even as recommended)? As I wrote, it was before this release 3.8 never a problem to play POE. I think there is something wrong with the general memory handling (garbage collector or too many pinned objects in memory or ...). But only GGG can give a competent answer. |
