Frostblink :(
So... I was looking through cold skills for what kinda build I might wanna make. I saw this, and the description made it seem like it would deal damage upon landing in the new spot. Which would be great.
Turns out, it's super awkward and deals damage where it left :/ That makes it super weird... THEN... I was like, "Well, what about Spell Echo? Maybe it repeats, and if I'm fast enough, I can redirect the second blink to go back to where I was." Nope. Spell Echo literally seems to have no effect at all, at least in terms of actual movement (maybe it deals damage twice, didn't test that part). So now I'm like.......... uhhhhhhh, maybe I'll use Lightning Warp or like, Shield Charge/Leap Slam/Something??? This build really got unbuildable quickly. Are there any "Frostblink tricks" like uniques or something that make this work out how I wanted it to? Or is it basically... not... for primary skill use? Last bumped on Aug 7, 2019, 3:40:11 AM

Frostblink is new, and afaik, its only meant to be used as a low level movement skill. Haven't really looked at it though, so I could be wrong. Skills with cooldown generally aren't viable imo.

Well... It lowers its cooldown drastically when it hits, and on bosses it basically has no cooldown (and I intended to +2 its level to 22, so it would have true 100% cooldown reduction on boss hit).
But mechanically, because it hits the area it leaves rather than the area it enters, it becomes SSUUPPEERR awkward to try to use as a damage skill. I might reroute my char into some kinda hybrid lightning/cold with both Vortex and Lightning Warp as primary damage dealers (haven't looked at Warp's DPS stats yet), or if that's a no-go, I might try like... Elemental Equilibrium, using both Vortex and Cold Snap for damage, and triggering Equilibrium with Lightning Warp and/or Lightning Orb. Dunno. But Frostblink sure seems like a disappointment. |

Welp, Lightning Warp has extremely bad damage stats, so never mind.

Well wait, Warp does damage to both, where you leave AND where you enter, so if I spammed it on the same spot, each cast would deal 2x damage, right? So it's twice as strong as it looks, which... makes it better... but still not great.
Hmmmmmmmm... |

NEVER mind. It has a minimum teleport range, and it has a 0.4 second recast delay, lmao.
Ugh. This is going downhill fast. Might be Equilibrium or bust. |
