A Question about The Devouring Diadem eldirtch battery!

Hey guys ive been playing with an occultist witch bane/soulrend build and just recently bought a The Devouring Diadem when i placed it, i noticed my energy shield went to my mana border. The question at hand is does my energy shield still take damage or does all damage now go directly to my health, i have mind over matter so i know the 30% of damage gets taken first from mana but does the energy shield play on part in that or has it just become useless? thanks in advance!

Damage goes directly to your health. Energy shield acts as mana now. Mind over Matter redirects 30% dmg to ES.

wow ok, so in a sense its not that good since its taking a layer of my defenses strictly for mana. thank you alot sir for clearing that up!

Its good, because you can reserve a lot of mana for auras and still utilize Mind over Matter. And Devouring Diadems reduced mana reservation makes it even better for that purpose.

what type of auras do you reccomend i run? for example im using flesh and stone with malevolence what other auros should i be running?

Discipline is a popular choice. Zealotry for additional dmg. Other then that probably some utility aura, like haste, or arctic armour.
