Blade storm and Sweep are the same exact skill! CHANGE MY MIND!!!
So after playing blade storm some I realized it felt so much like sweep. I then played sweep some, and had an epiphany afterwards THEY ARE THE SAME EXACT SKILL!
The skills have the exact same sounds and animations!! Why couldn't GGG just update sweep and add the effects of blade storm to it? They could of called it sweep still and tied extra effects to it with the new stance they added. They updated lacerate to an extent with it being tied to the new stance. **tinfoil** I believe sometimes GGG just likes adding more skills to the game versus updating there older ones AKA lazy. There are so many skills that aren't played much and if they were tweaked like I stated above with sweep then I believe we could have a bit more diversity in POE. I really feel like sweep could be that much better if blade storm's effects were added onto sweep. Last bumped on Jul 10, 2019, 8:14:56 PM

pshhhh they have different weapon requirements man, totally different skills.
Naw it's not lazy it's advertising. You get more people with "we made cool new skill" versus "we updated a skill no one ever liked." Last edited by j33bus#3399 on Jul 10, 2019, 12:27:08 AM

They both looks and feels like the little clumsy brothers of Cyclone.

" I can understand that but there's too many skills in the game and so many of them are not even being played. They should just either remove some of them or update them. Maybe lazy isn't the best word but it just feels weird seeing a skill almost identical to another and feel like if they were merged it would be an amazing skill. I bet if I took the time, I could find a few more skills that are closely related to another that could be merged or intertwined saving space since it would be 1 skill versus 2 or even 3. " I actually like the slower pace feel of both of these skills. The trade for more power for a bit less attack speed is a nice feeling. Neither skill feels clunky (they're the same skill still) I think its just a different play style that people confuse with clunky. " Ya sometimes I feel like that's the case and it sucks, and it will ruin the game in the long run. I also believe it didn't help that multistrike had its issues at the start of the league and the changes to it also are questionable. This also helped people choose cyclone over the other things. Won't surprise me if they update/change multistrike next league and makes other melee skills more appealing. |

Bladestorm has two modes. One's stationary and other over moves slowly forwards. Sweep is just a one time full motion attack. Completely different skills.

" That's literally the only different in the skill. It's almost like you didn't read what I wrote. |

I never quite understood why do we need Lesser Multiple Projectiles and Greater Multiple Projectiles.
Then they release Volley (who uses it?). So yeah, it seems like they inventing stuff just for marketing. And that leaves a lot to be desired. Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way.

Almost every skill that was added in last 2 years can be named "Its just this skill but other element or w/e" There are few actually "new ones' like Brands or WInter Orb, but most other skills are just reskins with slight change to mechanic.
^up There is a story behind Volley. Firt the "volley" mechanic was unique to jewel fro SPlit Arrow that was never added into a game. They realised how broken that jewel would be and they realised people wanted such mechanic in the game (mainly becuase it was something new, no one is using it now). Thats why they added it as a support gem. |
