Is making an macro in Razer thingy for flasks bannable?
Hi, this might have been asked before. I wonder if it is against ToS to use a macro on my Razer blackwidow to press 1234? My normal numbers above the keys have stopped working and only numpad ones work, so i ask before i use :)

I still have some questions about this that i would like GGG to answer. Like why isnt it allowed to use keyboard macro for flasks, it isnt that much of a big deal since almost every keyboard out there comes with built in macroing software. But until i have direct answer from GGG i will not use macro since i value my poe account to much :)
Hopefully GGG will see this and give me alittle more insight in this. |

Hi @yengsin
To clarify, a macro is bannable if it performs more than one action, or if it's on a timer (as this qualifies as "botting"). I'm afraid the above example you provided would definitely constitute botting. I highly recommend not doing this, as it would place your account at risk of being banned. |

I actually have a question perhaps related to this but similar enough to just ask here.
What I will state up front the one and only macro I made does two actions, what those two actions are: the keys that "move items" (to/from stash) and the key to "view detailed item information." Why Didn't want to keep having using two different keys when I recognized that no harm would come from combining these two actions and they really fit operation, form, and UI use. Reasoning Because these keys do NOT perform an in-game "actions" that my character "would perform" to environment/creature I felt not only safe creating this macro but it really does not seem to break any guidelines or policies. So what do you all think, including moderators? Surely, this type of macro performing these types of actions couldn't be viewed as botting, correct? -- The remainder of my "macros" are actually almost anti-macro's in a sense. Disabling the map key (play all natural), diabling potion 2, 3, 4 keys so I have access only to two total potions, etc. What? I'm the type of gamer that uses survival, challenge, hardcore mods and modes looking to make a game harder. heh Anyways, hope some UI key macro's are cool to perform dual actions... you know for the UI, NOT a Character Action. |
