How do I reduce the physical damage taken from the abyssus? I really need help

Guys let me speak ps4enese to him.

Ok so get both fortify nodes to get 50% increased effect of fortify. That will give you an extra 10%.

In addition, you can use a Cast when Damage taken gem, keep it at level 1 and link enfeeble with it. At the base level, enfeeble reduce the damage of uniques(bosses) by 10% (more for rares and normals).

Viola. With a beefed up fortify and enfeeble, you now have 40% reduced damage, nullifying the effect of a 40% abyssus.

You can also you endurance charges to keep yourself beefed up.

you can also dual wield ickimonji swords for an extra 20% buff to fortify which will give you a 34% reduce damage fortify with the nodes. Almost fully nullifying a 40% abyssus!

this.
learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.
While abyssus should be additive with fortify, the effect will be multiplicative with the %phys reduction from armor + endurance charges + additional physical reduction.

What this means is that at high armor and/or with lots of end charges you can get 70-80% mitigation w/o fortify which means your phys damage taken would be multiplied by (1-0.7) x (1+0.4) = 42%. So in this case abyssus is causing you to go from 30% damage taken without it to 42% damage taken with it. Scaling down even further with fortify.

On my champ - who has over 50k armor with flasks - i didn't even notice the extra phys taken from abyssus...elemental and chaos are still worse than phys. So a good chunk of armor should do wonders for mitigating abyssus

Use aspect of the crab for up to 20% phys reduction. If you have the chest, you get max 30% reduction.
