Click the word
Lucky
at the page you've linked.
It's a hyperlink to the page with the description of that mechanic.

Well, lucky means 2 rolls, you get the highest roll.
BUT I always thought that multiplier was fixed. Sounds like the multiplier value gets rolled twice and you get the highest roll here as well.
And that probably can't pass your CSM max.
So, good question, and I'm guessing, does anyone know the real answer?
I will wear your ghost and you will die twice, against me and for me.
That is some cold blooded shit to say...

No need to guess.
"Your Critical Multiplier is Lucky" mod doesn't exist.

If you'd actually go the the page linked - there's a slightly different modifier there, which perfectly works with "Lucky" mechanics.

Read it again, it says damage is lucky, not multiplier.
Someone rewrote that, it used to say the other thing;)

Reading... who knew???

Thanks!

so if you deal 50-100 damage, have 50% crit chance and 200% crit multi, you will first roll 50% chance, if it doesn't crit it will roll again (as lucky critical strikes do. The way damage is lucky works is the same afaik, so if you get 50% damage roll and the second is 100, assuming that you first hit 50 and rerolls that to 100. So since it states critical strikes, it will ONLY roll twice if you get a critical hit? Assuming that critical strike multiplier is not fix to deal max damage but only multiplies the damage of 100 by 2.

I'm really just overanalyzing this. I guess i pretty much already have my answer. It's not the multiplier that's lucky, it's the damage value as damage is lucky is a mod in the game. Basically the only way to trigger the damage is lucky is if you score a crit, am i correct?

Critical damage is lucky.
Your damage stats at the char.sheet are 50-100.

When it's a crit. - game rolls and takes random number between 50 and 100.

Then rolls second time and takes # which was higher (+ multiplies it 200%).

Nothing to over-analyze.

exactly. Pointless question though, what happens if you roll 50-100 and you end up with 100 on the first roll? Will it still roll again?

There are any number of confusing ways to say the same thing.

It rolls twice and takes the highest roll. We, as the players, will never mechanically see the first roll, second roll, or anything else behind the scenes. The outcome is the same.
