Option to disable Animation Cancelling.

Too many unintended consequences. It doesn't work well...at all. The one thing I wanted from animation cancelling was to be able to use my movement skill RIGHT FUCKING NOW in the midst of a melee shit storm and it's like the only thing that does not happen. Every patch seems to make things worse.
Takes time to get used to. Would be awesome to have an option to disable animation cancelling

Keeping left mouse button pressed should NEVER cancel any animation, rather the skills cancel that auto-movement , just like it did before and which allowed a smooth gameplay for fast attacks and spells.

If someone does not hold down a movement button, actually pressing a movement button (intentionally) during an animation should cancel it ; which would be the intuitive way.


Simply put, if you cast something like a channel spell or anything at all, it should behave like without animation canceling and just finish the action, no canceling at all, while holding down the movement / left mouse button.

If you stop and re-press the movement button or left-mouse button during a animation it should cancel it (as you only do that if you really want to move instead of anything else).


As it is now, its completely unplayable terrible, as it auto-cancels everything, and thats just stupid.
+1, need another checkbox near the 'arrack in place' one, to make the skill not cancelable.

I've had several time my Vaal EQ canceled as I'm usually to trigger it and then move around .... and having a vall skill such as this one canceled feels terrible honestly.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

yes, exactly this, another button on the skill popup with option to disable it.


I think by default it should come disabled on a few skills too. summing a golem, and enduring cry are the 2 so far that are really starting to annoy me. Took me a while to work out why im casting this golem so many times and not getting a golem, and im using enduring cry, its going on cooldown but not going off... oh lol... yeah...



... but no, seriously, do not want this on a skill like enduring cry, ever, this is awful. If I have to make sure Im stopped still and dont move again till the cry goes off thats just putting me in a lot more danger than i should be in at a point when i need to be safe. Its making the game feel super clunky in some instances, if i have to make sure a dead stop and wait till im sure its gone off then thats not making the game smoother, thats total shit.

right now its doing a lot more harm than good on the chars im playing. Vaal skills is def another big no no, ive cancelled my vaal discipline and lost it i dunno how many times... garbage, please change this.

Either :
- Far from enough testing
- People who noticed it were too 'lazy' or could not be bothered to actually look for a solution to this.

I think it's a bit of both to be honest.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

It's not every part of animation cancelling that's borked, just the pre-effect portion of the mechanic. It's buggy, often unnecessary, and just plain annoying. A number of suggestions have been brought up at this point.

1. Completely remove pre-effect animation cancelling.
2. Make it a toggle for individual skills similar to attack in place.
3. Make it so that only movement skills can pre-effect cancel.
4. Similar to #1, make it an option to completely disable in the Options menu.

The devs have gone on record saying that they plan to "switch off" animation cancelling for vaal skills sometime this league. I do not think that's enough. Every skill needs a solution in regards to pre-effect animation cancelling.

How does my Frost Orb being cancelled immediately if I'm holding down left click to move "make the game flow much nicer?" It seems to me it does the exact opposite of that. Now, instead of simply hitting E and having an Orb drop, I have to take my fucking hand off my mouse, hit E, and wait until the Orb has been cast so that I don't accidentally cancel it by moving too soon. THEN I can start moving again.

+1 have hard time playing casters now that moving cancels animation.
such a poorly implemented mechanic which would of been a simple fix to only let travel skills animation cancel.
as usuall mechanic implemented despite obvious issues.
