Not sure, but the next open beta is in about 2-3 months.
When that happens everything will be erased. Your characters will go back to level 1, but will still be there so you will have the same name.

I would be shocked if they didn't do another public beta as they did this past weekend, but 2-3 months is a long time to get a beta invite. So, I'm not sure, but hope for it.
