Lag spikes every few seconds only in PoE

Since the map drops have been updated I started to have lag spikes from 40ms to 200+ms every few seconds. Everything is fine in other games. When I change to my mobile internet there are no lag spikes (but then I am playing with 100ms ping because I'm tethering from my phone). This happens in every realm.

There's 1% packet loss being introduced within your ISP's network. While you could try performing a power cycle, you'll likely need to show this to your ISP's support team.

Done multiple modem reboots since I noticed the problem. I don't know why but this helped massively. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2454350
I am now getting very few lag spikes that are probably the result of the 1% packet loss.
