Game keeps crashing

This is the only game this happens with.

Game will be running smooth and then both of my monitors cut off, there is a brief sound loop and my fans max out. Have to hold down my power button and hard-boot to get out of it.

Specs:

i7-8700k @ 4.5GHz
16gb DDR4 @ 3000MHz
GTX 1080 Classified
Samsung 850pro m.2 1TB
Display 1: ASUS MG279Q@144Hz games on this display
Display 2: Dell U2718Q@60Hz

This isn't all the time thing either, which is odd. It happened a few times a while ago, then seemingly went away. Just played a few days in a row for 6hrs+ and had no issues.

The last two times the game has crashed, it also deleted itself from my computer. Steam is also requiring me to sign in using my authenticator.
Now I'm afraid to even try booting up this shit game. I wasn't this way in the past. I've been playing Warframe the last month. Runs slicker than greased owl shit.

Think I'll give ole rich white GGG a miss for the next 6 month.

AFAIK (FYI), client crashes will be sent automatically back to GGG HQ ( https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2321501/page/1#p16212127 ).

But this sounds very much like a "hard crash" and nothing with the POE client (confined to the POE client), because you have to hard reset the PC because not even Windows works anymore.

In this case, the Windows Event Viewer is your best bet (if everything else considered is A-OK) to find out what might have triggered the "hard" crash of the whole PC: Windows Key + X > Event Viewer or Right Click Windows Start Button > Event Viewer.

GGG Tech has yet to post instructions on how to use Event Viewer. I found one (Googled) instruction here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/387990/discussions/0/405692224241302769/

Anything more in-depth, you might want to post the event log of the Event Viewer in the appropriate Windows Forum under Gaming ( https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/gaming?sort=LastReplyDate&dir=Desc&tab=All&status=all&mod=&modAge=&advFil=&postedAfter=&postedBefore=&threadType=all&isFilterExpanded=false&page=1 ) and ask for an explanation. I myself never had to use the Event Viewer ( https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+troubleshoot+crash+with+windows+event+viewer&page=&utm_source=opensearch ).
